Welcome to my new arts and literature review, where I will post reviews of art shows and exhibitions and also reviews of poetry, art and literature, including book reviews. I will try to post at least one article per week, depending on my schedule, the season, and what I am able to read and see. I hope you will like my comments, observations and discussions. As some of you may know, I was Contributing Editor to Artweek for over 30 years, until its demise. I then became an Arts and Entertainment Reviewer for examiner.com where I enjoyed writing reviews of art shows, exhibitions, art publications, and literature, including a homage to Seamus Heaney, for whom I was graduate teaching assistant when he taught for two years at the English Department at UC Berkeley. I also wrote for the Examiner site an obituary for Umberto Eco. My last review was of an outstanding exhibition devoted to Apollinaire and his friends at Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris, which my wife Julie and I saw last summer. I have published to date over 200 art and book reviews, and six books of my own poetry. Unfortunately, Examiner shut down its website without notification. I then decided to write my own reviews on my own site. For those of you who may want to know more about me, my poetry and publications, please visit my website at www.cebulski.net. I look forward to having a lively and interesting exchange of ideas and information.
